Rare Enameled Aluminum Cobra Table Lamp by Greta Magnusson Grossman

Rare variant of Greta Magnusson Grossman’s iconic Cobra table lamp, manufactured by Ralph O. Smith in California circa 1950. The design features an enameled aluminum construction on a chrome-plated steel base, with one cone shade and the distinctive adjustable Cobra shade on a flexible arm.

The Cobra lamp won a Good Design award in 1950 and was exhibited at the Good Design Show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
